Palazzo Dalla Rosa Prati

What a spectacular find, we were passing through Parma for one night and stumbled upon this Palazzo. The location can't be beaten. We stayed at the top level corner suite (with kitchenette) overlooking the square and the Battistero di Parma. The style of the palazzo is old world charm mixed with elegance. The building itself is almost 1000 yrs old and it’s been owned by the Dalla Rosa Prati family for that long. 🤓 We were welcomed by the charming owner, Vittorio, who gave us recommendations for lunch (where to get the yummiest Parma ham) and dinner. We were also given a private tour of the whole palazzo. Full of history and culture, it’s certainly a privilege to have seen it. We will definitely return to Parma and to Palazzo Dalla Rosa Prati to stay longer in the apartment and enjoy beautiful Parma more! Thank you, Vittorio and your team!

What a find! I've stayed here twice - once with my husband and once with a small tour group I hosted. I love it and so did my guests. This 13th century, sienna-coloured palazzo completes one side of cobbled Piazza Duomo, housing a mix of hotel rooms, apartments and the family's own residence, around a leafy wisteria-covered courtyard. I love the heavy antique furniture and floral fabrics of the suites - but also the spaciousness of the apartments. Staff are super friendly and helpful – nothing is too much trouble – and it's walking distance to everything you'll want to see in the elegant city of Parma and so many great places to eat and drink. I'll be back.

Stayed here for a wedding that was down the road in Reggio Emilia. While it’s a little different to the normal hotel, everything was absolutely fantastic. The rooms were big and comfortable and had excellent amenities (some even have a washing machine and dishwasher, great for longer stays), the staff were so incredibly helpful, and there is no better location in Parma!
